Our Opinions!

• Gabriel: In my opinion is that I liked the book so much, it has a good story, the only thing that I liked the less was that the end was terrible because it didn't tell what happened next but it was an excellent book and a little hilarious.
• Matías: The story is awesome. This story is not very short, compared to other stories, but it is interesting, and you are not tired of reading the story, how the pawnbroker tries to still money from people. And finally, the finale is strange, because, you don't think it, that Miss Pulteney had the mink coat.
• Benjamín: Well… This story is one of the longest I have read before, but is less interesting than others.
• Tomas: In my opinion the story was great, not the best thing I read but it was good, something I did not like was the fact that it has an open ending because it makes you think about what is going to happen and it confuses you.
• Juan Cruz: In my opinion, I think the story is brilliant and very interesting as you always want to know what will happen to Mrs Bixby and her coat. However, I think it is a short story since we will never know what happened to the colonel. Finally, I think it came to a terrible ending as it's an open ending and open ends are disgusting.

Comparison

•The story that we choose to compare is: “La casa de los Conejos”. The story “La casa de los conejos" is longer than that of Mrs Bixby and the Colonel's coat. The story of Mrs Bixby and the Colonel's coat it's the shortest story we have ever read. The story of Mrs Bixby and the Colonel's coat is funnier than the house of “La casa de los conejos" since the one of “La casa de los conejos" deals with a very serious event in Argentina. “La casa de los conejos" is more interesting than that of Mrs Bixby and the Colonel's coat since what happened is a real fact. “La casa de los conejos" has a better ending than Mrs Bixby and the Colonel's coat because it has a well marked ending, even if it is a sad ending. In conclusion, the best story is that of "The House of Rabbits", because the ending is better understood what happens, and it is more interesting because it tells a true story, about something that happened.

Our End of the story

When Mrs Bixby saw Miss Pulteney she went crazy and said: “Who gave you that?” “Dr. Bixby gave it to me”- the woman answered. After hearing that, she went back to the consulting room and went directly to her husband and said: “Why did that woman have my mink?!?” “How did you know that the ticket was a mink?” After saying that, she realized she had made a mistake and had to explain to Mr Bixby all the lies that she was hiding from him. “You've been lying to me all this time” “So were you”- said Mrs Bixby. After fighting a little she went to claim her mink. She went after Miss Pulteney to grab her mink. “This is mine”. “No it isn’t!, give that to me!” At the end the mink returned with her owner. A few months later Mrs Bixby gets divorced and with a whole new life without her terrifying husband.... The end.
