Atomic Models TIMELINE
01
J.J Thomson(1904)
02
Ernest Rutherford(1911)
The plum pudding model is defined by electrons embedded in a sphere of positive charge.
03
Neils Bohr(1913)
The Rutherford's model defines that there's a positively charged centre in an atom called the nucleus. The electrons revolve around the nucleus in a circular path and that the size of the nucleus is very small as compared to the atom.
The Bohr's atomic model defines that the electrons travel in discrete orbits around the nucleus which do not radiate energy and that the number of electrons in the outer orbit determines the properties of an element.
