Introduction

The Capetian dynasty (French: Capétiens) is one of the most important royal dynasties in Europe; It includes all the descendants of Hugo Capet (c. 938-996), Count of Paris, King of the Franks and founder of the lineage. The current King of Spain and the Grand Duke of Luxembourg are the only European monarchs who agnatically belong to the dynasty, both through the Bourbon branch. All the other reigning European monarchs are also descended from Hugo Capet, but via cognaticia.

Story

  • The German Friedrich Soennecken invented ring binders in 1886 in Bonn, Germany. Friedrich Soennecken also obtained a patent on November 14, 1886 for his Papierlocher für Sammelmappen (hole punch for folders). The German Louis Leitz, founder of the German company Leitz, later made some important changes in the development of classifiers in Stuttgart-Feuerbach. Leitz inserted the hole in the side of the document. The two holes are 80 millimeters apart, according to ISO 838. The four-hole version does not meet any ISO standard. The distances are 80mm, 80mm and 80mm.
