Microsoft Internet Explorer 1.0 made its debut on August 16, 1995. It was a reworked version of Spyglass Mosaic which Microsoft had licensed,[3][4] like many other companies initiating browser development, from Spyglass Inc.

WorldWideWeb

WorldWideWeb (later renamed to Nexus to avoid confusion between the software and the World Wide Web) is the first web browser[1] and web page editor.[2] It was discontinued in 1994. At the time it was written, it was the sole web browser in existence,[1] as well as the first WYSIWYG HTML editor.

Firefox Browser, also known as Mozilla Firefox or simply Firefox, is a free and open-source[22] web browser developed by the Mozilla Foundation and its subsidiary, the Mozilla Corporation.

Google Chrome is a cross-platform web browser developed by Google. It was first released in 2008 for Microsoft Windows built with free software components from Apple WebKit and Mozilla Firefox.[12] It was later ported to Linux, macOS, iOS, and Android where it is the default browser built into the OS

With the continuation of improvement of every web browswer available. Internet explorer became Microsoft edge whilst firefox still updates its browser, google being google and opera releasing opera gaming. These are the top websites that still compete up to this day
