DEFINITION
Reflexive pronouns are words to refer back:myself, yourself, himself, herself, itself, ourselves, yourselves and themselves. They refer back to a person or thing. We often use reflexive pronouns when the subject and the object of a verb are the same. (1)

WHEN TO USE THEM?
- By + reflexive pronoun
- by + reflexive pronoun to mean alone.
- Reciprocal pronouns (each other, one another)
- With reciprocal pronouns, each person does the action to the other person/people but not to themselves.
- Adding emphasis
- To emphasize when something is unusual or different.
- To emphasize that someone does an activity personally, not anybody else.
- Together with the noun it refers to, in order to emphasise it.
