What is social protocol?

It's a set of rules of behavior or conduct that regulate man's relationships in society, according to different situations and with due courtesy.

Etiquette

The etiquette is the ceremonial of the styles, uses and customs that must be kept in the Royal Houses and in solemn public acts. Also dictates how you should dress properly for each act and ceremony.

Clothing etiquette

Is defined as knowing what is appropriate to wear for particular occasions. The costumes are suitable for high-level social events and formal ceremonies. We will highlight two types of etiquette: the military etiquette and the civil etiquette.

TAIL COAT SUIT

It is the masculine clothing reserved for the grand gala, the dress of maximum etiquette. Mainly, it is reserved for the night and, exceptionally for the day, exclusively for closed places. It is used in diplomatic and academic events and gala dinners with the presence of Their Majesties the Kings.

It admits wearing medals and condecorations. If you wear a band, it is normal to wear it over your vest, especially if the act is presided over by a Head of State

Black with single or crossed buttons. At the front, it is cut at the waist, and at the back, it is long with two separate peaked skirts that fall to the knees.

White, in thread, with a hard or starched bib, a high collar and a double-eyelet cuff to fasten with the cufflinks. The buttons can be pearl or shiny type.

MORNING COAT SUIT

Black or gray evening dress used for ceremonies or daytime events, until seven in the afternoon. It is a very used dress today for weddings. At weddings, the groom or very important guests wear gray, and the rest of the guests wear black. Its origin dates back to the 19th century, as it was the British court attire for riding.

SMOKING SUIT

Smoking suit is a dress suit for evening celebrations, dinners, dances, shows or parties. It is known by the name of "black tie". In protocol, if the invitation indicates a black tie, it means that you must go with a tuxedo.

FEMALE ETIQUETTE

Clothing suitable for high-level social events and formal ceremonies. We recommend classic dresses in exclusive fabrics and textures, in black with brocade, gemstones and long cut to the feet. The use of stockings and a handbag made of fabric, never leather, is compulsory. The protocol allows bare backs, generous necklines and varied colours. However, black is always a safe colour.
