Zone of Proximal Development
Lev Vygotsky argued that we learn and develop through interactions with language playing a key role. He also emphasized the importance of providing appropriately challenging learning tasks which push a learner to ´stretch´ his abilities. This range of challenge was called the Zone of Proximal Development.
