What is water scarcity?

Water scarcity means a shortage of water in a particular area. This means people often struggle to find clean water, or even any water at all.

HOW DID THIS COME?

FACTS

Egypt's water crisis came around for a couple of reasons. Firstly, climate change, the blazing weather drying up rivers and lakes. Also, Egypt's initial weather, including little rain and limited water sources. And the last reason is overpopulation, since Egypt's population has grown rapidly over the last 20 years.

- Most Egyptians are basically forced to drink this contaminated water, which dead animals could have been in once. - Egypt could possibly run out of water by 2025 - A concerning amount of tap water in Egypt isn't drinkable.

How we're fixing it

There are a few govenment and non-government organizations helping with the complication. Such as: the Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, the Ministry of Housing, the General Organization for Industrialization, and the Ministry of Health and Population. In order to fix this problem, I think we could work together to limit our water use, and educate ourselves about this issue.
