History

Galileo Galilei was born in 1564, he was an Italian Astronomer and pshysicist.Galileo is considered the "father of scientific method" . Galileo studied speed ,velocity, gravity and free fall. At the age of 25 Galileo began teaching mathematics at the University of Pisa and in the 1592 he started to work as a teacher of mathematics at the University of Padova. Galileo created a small workshop, to supplement his salary. Then between 1605 and 1609 he began to work on the telescope

History

He found that the earth revolves around the sun with the other planets, supporting the Copernican theory, which was in conflict with the thinking of the church. The church instead sustained that the earth was at the center of the universe and the sun revolves around it.The court of the Roman inquisition decided to force him to abjure, otherwise he would have been sentenced to death. Galileo follows the instructions received from the church and continues to live in Tuscany, with the prohibition to write other books, then in 1642 he dies.

Scientific method

1-OBSERVATION it is necessary to observe a phenomenon and understand when and how it happens2- ASK A QUESTION:The scientific method starts when you ask a question about something that you observe 3-CONSTRUCT A HYPOTHESIS:It is an attempt to answer your question with an explanation that can be tested it could also be an incorrect hypotesis, so if the experiment fails you need to try again

Scientific method

4-MAKE PREDICTIONSA prediction is a result that we expect to see if the hypothesis is correct 5-EXPERIMENTthe experiment is necessary if you want to check if your predictions are correct, it is one of the most important parts of the process.6-FINAL RESULTSCheck your results and write a final report to communicate your results to others scientist.

Telescope

Galileo had also improved the telescope, his telescope allowed him to see with a magnification of eight or nine times. Of all of his telescope discoveries, he is most known for his discovery of the four most massive moons of Jupiter, now known as the Galilean moons, and he also found that there are mountains on the moon. The telescope is a revolutionary invention because it allowed us to see with our own eyes what was happening in space.
