What Are Saccharides sugars?

They are ...

Natural sugars, also called saccharides or carbohydrates, are polyhydroxylated aldehydes or ketones with the brute chemical formula Cn(H2O)m where n and m may be different. They are named by the suffix “-ose”.

Corn syrup is used in the production of high-fructose corn syrup, in which glucose is changed to fructose through the addition of an enzyme called d-xylose isomerase. High-fructose corn syrup is widely used in the food industry, notably in the manufacture of soft drinks, because it is considerably cheaper than sucrose

Sucrose

Sucrose is used in foods and soft drinks as a sweetener, in syrup processing, in invert sugar, confectionery, preserves and jams, demulcent, medicinal products, and caramel. Sucrose is also a chemical carrier for detergents, emulsifiers, and other derivatives of saccharose
