2nd Conditional is about unreal situations / very often impossible to happen. She would help if she knew what to do. If she knew what to do, she would help. He would call an ambulance if he had a phone. If I were you, I`d see a doctor. He might / could feel better if he took some time off. If + Past Simple, would/could/might + infinitive
If only is used to express a strong wish that things could be different. It means the same as I wish but is stronger. We use if only + past verb forms to talk about a wish for the present. If only he knew the truth. I wish there was a lift - the wheelchair users would have access. If only the restaurant had a lift.
