Hello , today we will be looking at many things involving the space race between the soviet union and the united states. Answer a few questions and find the codes needed to complete the escape room.

The United States became involved in the space race during the cold war. The United States spent around 25 billion dollars competeing in this race. The United States launched the Apollo-Soyuz mission that sent three astronauts to the moon and won the race.
Soviet Union
The Soviet Union was the reason for the start of the space race. They decided they wanted to expand their knowledge of space and launched the satalite called "Sputnik". This created the space race and the soviets spent around 4.8-10 billion dollars . They ended up losing to the United States.
Sputnik
Sputnik was the first artificial satelite that was launched by the Soviet Union which started the famous space race. It was launched on October 4th 1957 and costed about 30 million.

Neil Armstrong is known for being the first man on the moon. He was apart of Apollo 11 which was the the aircraft that brought these men to the moon. The launch date was July 16 1969 and the return date was July 21 1969.
