Library Usage and Environment
Scheduling in Hybrid Model
- Full flex
- 30 min classes
- Saw all classes twice each week to facilitate A and B groups
- Started with class visits, but then was able to have small groups in the library.
- Implemented COVID -19 protocols for checkouts
Library Environment
This year, the library environment changed quite a bit. Instead of hosting staff meetings and book fairs, small groups of students were able to have a more personal library experience with their hybrid groups. At times, only 3-5 students would be in a class! Additionally, because of the space available, it became a hub for the school. Speech sessions and reading interventions were conducted here. Since Special Area classes were held in classrooms, teachers used the library as a quiet place to work and have team meetings. The library strives to be a safe, calm, and caring environment where students and staff feel welcome and wanted. While it looked quite different this year, this goal was achieved!
