Senior Research Fellow at NREL and an Affiliate Faculty member in Chemistry at CSU. He leads an interdisciplinary team of biologists, chemists, and engineers on conversion of biomass to chemicals and materials and plastics upcycling.

Gregg T. Beckham

Research professor in biotechnology at VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland, and adjunct professor in synthetic biology at Aalto University. Her expertise is on engineering of microbes for the production of fuels, chemicals, enzymes and materials.

Marja Penttilä

Team leader at CIRSEE (International Center for Research on Water and the Environment Suez based in Paris), and director of BioResourceLab in Narbonne, a research centre dedicated to the transformation of organic waste into bioresources.

Marion Crest

Full Professor in Industrial and Environmental Biotechnology at the University of Bologna. He is the Italian Representative for Bioeconomy in Horizon 2020, BBI JU, BLUEMED initiative, and EU Bioeconomy Policy Forum.

Chair Professor in Environmental Biotechnology at Delft University of Technology. Scientific interests are mainly related to biofilm processes, nutrient conversion processes and the role of storage polymers in microbial ecology.
