Care for God’s Creation

start

What is Caring for God's Creation?

Everything around us is created by God. Whether it is animals, plants or humans. We can take care of the environment by not polluting it, by recycling, by eating less meat, by loving the animals and by keeping it clean. God gave us all these good things so that they can be useful for us and so that we can benefit from them and not to harm and damage them.

Caring for God's Creation

Pollution is contaminating our water and plants which are the main sources of live for almost all the people around the world. There are people who are able to access clean water but the poor ones have no choice but to use the dirty water. So that's why we should stop pollution and care for each other like God commended.

We should love the animals and treat them in a good way and not lock them up, steal their freedom and abuse them because that is not God's word.

Catholic Church Teaching

There are seven Catholic Social teachings, and caring for God's creation is one of them. These teachings are presented by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops and Catholic Relief Services. The Catholic Church tells us to follow these teachings because they are based on God's word and they make us undersatnd each other in a better way so that we can live in harmony with all the creations.

Catholic Church Teaching

"The fear and dread of you will fall on every living creature on the earth, every bird of the air, every creature that crawls on the ground, and all the fish of the sea. They are delivered into your hand. Everything that lives and moves will be food for you; just as I gave you the green plants, I now give you all things." (Genesis 9:2-3) God entrusted us with his creations. We should respect, honor and protect what God gave us. God gave us treasures and we should be responsible for these treasures and we should know how precious they are.

"God is the sovereign master of his plan. But to carry it out he also makes use of his creatures' cooperation. This use is not a sign of weakness, but rather a token of almighty God's greatness and goodness. For God grants his creatures not only their existence but also the dignity of acting on their own, of being causes principles for each other, and thus of cooperating in the accom-plishment of his plan"

Catholic Church Teaching

God believes in His creations' ability to engage with each other. God gave His creations dignity by giving them freewill. As humans God blessed us with freewill which is the right to do things the way we see them right. That means God trust us to cooperate with each other to keep, safe, respect and honor his creations. He gave us the freedom to make choices that could change us and the world around us. The bad choices we make will not only effect us, but it will also effect everything around us. Making good choices will benefit us and everything around are which is what God wants.
