1979-Wheelchair Rugby first appeared outside of Canada
1977-Wheelchair Rugby was invented
in Winnipeg, Canada by a group of quadriplegic athletes who were looking for an opposite to wheelchair basketball.
They wanted a sport which would allow players with reduced arm and hand function to participate equally. The sport they created, originally called "Murderball", is now known as Wheelchair Rugby.
1981-1989:The first team in US is formed and more teams were made
2000-Wheelchair Rugby was introduced to the olympics
The next wheelchair rugby will take place in 2022
