Achievments

.03

  • Benjamin Franklin made more than 10 inventions being the most important the lightning rod in 1753, the Franklin stove in 1752, Bifocals, glass harmonica, the flexible catheter, etc.
  • Most of his inventions weren't inspired in other inventors like the lightening rod, but there are some inventions like the flexible catheter that he was inspired by others.
  • The catheter already existed, but he wanted to make a flexible and better one.
  • He was originally a journalist, but he liked sciences so much that he studied the electricity and identified the positives and negatives charges which helped him to create most of his inventions like the lightning rod.

Own view

  • Lightning rod- This invention helped to saved so many lives and residences by accumulating the rays in the lightning rod that will then be attracted to the ground with little resistance without causing damage to them. It is really important for the communities and I think it changed totally the lives of the people.
  • The bifocal lenses were probably very important for the life of people at the time and for their vision. I think this invention was usable because it improved people's lifestyle.
  • Glass harmonica- it is an excellent invention, but I can't really relate to it because I don't play the glass harmonica. It is still important to the people that play this instrument.
  • The Franklin stove was wonderful for the heat, less smoke and wood than an open fireplace. Nowadays, it isn't too used, but there is still a few people that use it.
  • Franklin made a lot of inventions and I think he had an important role in our lives.

Thank you:)
