Present Progressive?& Simple Present?
Mike is going to come home tomorrow.
Mike is coming home tomorrow.
Present Progressive describes definite plans for the future, plans that were made before the moment of speaking.
Mike is going to come home tomorrow.
Mike is coming home tomorrow.
My meeting starts at 7:00 a.m. next week.
My test ends at 6:00 p.m. tomorrow.
Simple Present can express future when events are on a definitive timetable or schedule.
Common Verbs:
arrive, leave, start, begin, end, finish, open, close & be.
