IRELAND LANDSCAPE
Ireland's landscape is mountainous, wetlands, moors, bodies of water, meadows and pastures. In the center of the island is the Central Irish Plain and it covers almost half of Ireland's territory. The Donegal Mountains rise to the north-west of Ireland. In the south of the island are the Kerry mountain ranges. On the east coast of the island are the Wicklow Mountains, an extension of the Cambrian Mountains. The weather in Ireland is very changeable. For example, the sun shines for 1 hour and it rains for 5 minutes. This is what is called Irish weather
The Irish cliffs
Klif Moheru
Klif Moheru
The Cliffs of Moher are Ireland's showpiece. They are located in County Clare to the west of the island and are 8 km long.At the highest point, they are over 200 meters high. There is a special route on the cliffsfor tourists. The 8 km long cliff coast is a real miracle of nature.
The Slieve League cliffs, their Irish name, Sliabh Liag, are in other words Gray Mountain, which are less visited by tourists. Located in County Donegal in the north of the island, they are simply more difficult to access. The roads leading to them are quite narrow so not every tour bus has a chance to reach them. At their highest point, the Slieve League is 600 meters high, so they are much higher than the more famous Cliffs of Moher.
