PAHIYAS FESTIVAL ORIGINS
Pahiyas Festival was inspired by the Feast of Saint Isidore when the Native Tagalog used to settle at the foot of Mount
Banahaw during the early Christianization of the natives of Lucban in the year 1500's. After that, the locals will conduct a thanksgiving celebration and give praise for the bountiful harvest.

EVOLUTION OF PAHIYAS FESTIVAL
As the years went by, the traditional Pahiyas Festival became more vibrant and delightful. There were improvements added like; the parade initiating from the church to roam the streets along with the fruitful crops that were harvested attached to their costumes. There were decorations like kiping and many more harvests to give accuracy that the festival addresses thanksgiving ,

Prepare the rice paste and the leaves for moulding.
Add the food coloring.
Slather the top of a leaf with a generous coating of the mixture.
