IS CURRENTLY WHERE WE ARE NOW. thE GREATEST EVOLUTION OF LIFE HAS TAKEN HERE.

Continental creations started to move and joining in a singles mass called Pangaea I.

Fisrt life forms appearlike (bacteria, algae, protozoa wass born), simple prokaryotes. Stromatolites appear. THe atmosphere fill with oxygene.

CENOZOIC

65.5 MA

palaeoproterozoic

during this era giant reptiles, dinosaurs and other monstrous roamed the earth.

The continents first stabilized and also an oxygenated atmosphere.

This era is marked by the cretaceous-TERTIARY EXTINCTION EVENT the end OF THE CRETACEOUS PERIOD AND THE END OF THE MESOZOIC ERA.

tHE FIRST AND LONGEST ERA OF PHANEROZOIC.

MESOproterozoic

6 PERIODS

The major event is the breakup of the columbia supercontinent.

CAMBRIAN

500 ma the continents separate.

210 MA THE FRAGMENTATIONS OF PANGAEA II. THE CONTINENTS SEPARATE.

TRIASSIC

60 ma continental separation continues.

several large-scale glacial events occurred during this era.

ORDOVICIAN

5455 MA FISH APPEAR.

separation of continents caused that india ended its collision with eurasia.

SILURIAN

5419 MA PLANTS AND TERRESTRIAL ARTHROPODS APPEAR.

DURING THE JURASSIC PERIOD, THE SUPERCONTINENT PANGAEA SPLIT APART. THE NOTHERN HALF SPLITTE INTO LANDMASSES. BIRDS APPEAR.

JURASSIC

25 MA THE ALPINE OROGENY ENDS.

the tetrapods of some ancestors appear.

THE RED SEA AND THE GREAT RIFT VALLEY OPEN UP. 4 MA THE FIRST HOMINIDS APPEAR AND EVOLVE INTO HUMANS Birds and mammals became very diverse and many modern groups appear.

First amphibians appear and proliferate.

140 MA THE OPENING OF THE ATLANTIC BEGINS.

300 ma The continents join together and cause an ice age and the hercynian orogeny.

ICE AGES AFFECTED THE FLORA AND AS RESULT APPEAR MANY MODERN GROUPS OF PLANT. THE CONTINENTS REACH THEIR CURRENT POSITIONS.

QUATERNARY

CRETACEOUS

THIS IS THE LAST PERIOD OF THE MESOZOIC ERA, ENDS WITH THE EXTINCTION OF THE DINOSAURS (EXCEPT BIRDS).

This period ended with the most extensive extinction event recorded in paleontolgy. 95% marine species became extinct.
