Romeo & Juliet

Summary

A young lovesick Romeo Montague falls instantly in love with Juliet Capulet, who is due to marry her father’s choice, the County Paris. In a desperate attempt to be reunited with Romeo, Juliet follows the Friar’s plot and fakes her own death. The message fails to reach Romeo, and believing Juliet dead, he takes his life in her tomb. Juliet wakes to find Romeo’s corpse beside her and kills herself. The grieving family agree to end their feud.

Romeo & Juliet is a classic play from 1597 by William Shakespeare. One of the greatest hits by Shakespeare himself, the play is a tragedy about two lovers from different families. Although I love a story that ends with a tragedy, I would think the story would be better if it ended if it they had a happy ending where Romeo did not kill himself after seeing Juliet laying on the ground.
