Roman civilization contributions
Even though many things of the roman culture seem to come from the greeks, they have also made a lot contributions that have survived through all this years and have been very useful in our times
Calendar
Comunication
Numbers
The first Roman calendar contained 355 days, a month was added once every two years, and it became very irregular, but Julius Caesar in 46 b.C. introduced the calendar that has 12 months
Even if we use arabic numbers more often, sometimes we still see and use roman numbers, for example for counting centuries
They wrote news of current affairs into stones, also is well-known that a lot of languages come from the latin (these are called romance languages)
Bound books
Medicine
Hygiene
A great step for medicine was the creation of the first precision medical instruments, and many other tools
Better known as codex, Julius Caesar commmisioned a collection of papyrus to form a codex, so instead of having long scrolls they had these.
If there was something that could be considered a giant step for society, was the creation of sanitary plumbing systems
Architecture
The aqueducts are one of their most famous inventions, they built them to bring fresh water. Also they incorporated the arch on their buildings. They created hypocaust (some kind of central heating).
