Alien Adaptations Project

Your task is to create an alien that is adapted to living on one of these imaginary planets, then explain how those adaptations help it survive on the planet. Consider what each planet is like and what features your alien needs to be successful. You may make a model, draw and color a picture, or create a video with pictures that show your alien. Your alien must include the following features: *A model (use recyclables to build it) or picture (drawn by hand or on the computer) *All of the important traits of the organism are labeled *How the adaptations help the organism live in its habitat is explained Your project will conclude when you present your alien to the class and explain its adaptations. Ice Planet

Hoth is an icy planet covered in glaciers and frozen ice plains. The temperature is known to drop to -60 degrees Celsius at night. It is a generally lifeless planet, but does have some carniverous mammals and fish that live beneath the ice-covered oceans.

Tatooine

Desert Planet

Tatooine is a harsh desert world that orbits two suns. While it has a thin oxygen atmosphere, it does not rain and what creatures do live in this environment need to get moisture from the soils and what exists in the air.

Mustafar

Lava Planet

Mustafar is a tiny volcanic planet that orbits between two much larger planets. It is rich in mineral resources, but with many lava pits and lava rivers, it is an extremely hot and dangerous habitat.

Dagobah

Swamp Planet

Dagobah is a swamp-covered planet. It is frequently shadowed with fog and has tall jungle-like overgrowth. It is extremely humid and almost all surfaces have some sort of water and thick mud.

Endor

Forest planet

Endor is a planet covered in lush forests similar to those found in the Pacific Northwest of the United States. The tall trees are surrounded by lower bushes and small plants. Many small and large creatures make their homes here.
