Sculptural Space of the UNAM

One of the emblematic sites of the National Autonomous University of Mexico is, without a doubt, the Sculpture Space. Inaugurated on April 23, 1979, the Sculpture Space arose as the idea of the sculptor Federico Silva in 1977, with the purpose of capturing the plastic arts and the geometric sculptural movement in Mexico in a natural environment.

Its diameter and what it is made of:Its outer diameter is 120 meters, while the inner area measures 92.78 meters, with a platform width of 13.61 meters. This platform is built from volcanic stone and a series of rectangular base modules of 9x 3 meters with a height of 4 meters are raised on it.

Geometric figures:It has rectangles, circles, squares and different geometric shapes, you can see a large circle with surrounding rectangles at their respective degrees. Materials : As we can see it is made of concrete,iron, different kinds of stone, earth and there is a lot of vegetation.
