AND is a link between the hundreds and the tens or units. Example: 205 = two hundred and five 1,543 = one tousand, five hundred and fourty-three
Do not use the plural for million and billion when there is a number before them.
Say the numbers from biggest to smallest.Example: 7,482 = seven thousand, four hundred and eighty-two.
With figures of four or more digits, use commas.Example: 1,000 3,500 26,810 1,500,000
The simplest way to express large numbers is usually best. Example: 2,300 = twenty-three hundred (simpler than "two thousand three hundred")
When using decimals, say "point" before the decimal. Example: 2.5 = two point five 45.3 = fourty-five point three
