Présent BE +ing avec une référence temporelle future

Il s'utilise pour un futur proche du temps présent.

• This weekend, I am visiting my cousins. Ce weekend je rends visite à mes cousins.
• Next month, I'm leaving for London. Le mois prochain, je pars pour Londres.

Présent simple avec référence temporelle future

Il s'utilise pour un événement prévu à l'avance.

• The film starts tonight at 9 pm. Le film commence ce soir à 21h.
• The shop opens tomorrow at 8 am. Le magasin ouvre demain à 8h.

Il s'utilise également dans les subordonnées de temps avec WHEN (quand) et AS SOON AS (dès que)

• When I am 18, I will take my driving test. Quand j'aurai 18 ans je passerai mon permis de conduire.

• He will call you as soon as he arrives. Il t'appellera dès qu'il arrivera.

BE GOING TO + base verbale

3. BE GOING TO + base verbale

Il permet de faire une prédiction, quand on est quasiment sûr qu'un événement va arriver.

• They are going to get married. Ils vont se marier.

• She is going to wash the floor. Elle va laver le sol.

WILL + base verbale

4. WILL + base verbale

Il sert à exprimer un futur plus lointain, plus général ou moins certain.

• She will go to Paris one day. Elle ira à Paris un jour.
• What will you do if you lose the game?. Que feras-tu si tu perds le match?
• I promise it will not happen again. Je te promets que ça n'arrivera plus.
