+ INFO
The Battle of Guadalcanal was a U.S. surprise attack on Japanese forces. It is known as the first major offense in the Pacif Theatre by the Allies. This attack forced Japan to retreat from the Solomon Islands.
Blitzkrieg is a military tactic used by Germany designed to strike a quick blow at the enemy using mobile/maneuverable forces like tanks. Blitzkrieg translates to Lightning War and was proven successful.
Operation Barbarossa was the code name for the German invasion of the Soviet Union. The plan failed and surved as a turning point in the war. All though many Soviet Union soldiers were killed, the plan was so poorly strategized that it was not able to be completed
