ANTICIPATION

1- Read Kristine's conversation. Say what is wrong in these sentences. a- It's raining in Glasgow. b- Tom will go to California in the summer. c- The Highlands are in the south of Scotland.

2- Watch the video about Scotland. Choose the words that best describe the country.

ACTIVITY 1: WE'LL VISIT LOCH NESS!

1- Look at this map of Scotland. Read the description of the different landmarks. Spot the landmarks on the map.

a- The Highlands are a region in the North of Scotland. b- Edinburgh is the capital city of Scotland. c- Loch Ness is the largest lake in Scotland. A monster is supposed to live there. d- Inverness is the city of the Highlands. e- Glasgow is the largest city in Scotland. It is in the South West of the country. f- The Isle of Skye is located on the West coast of Scotland.

2- Look at the leaflet about Scotalnd. The guide has mixed up the pictures and the text. Help him match them.

TRUE or FALSE. Correct the false sentences. a- In the Peace & Nature Tour, you will enjoy some water activities. b- You'll find many castles on the Isle of Syke. c- You'll go monster hunting in Loch Lomond. d- You'll visit Glasgow on the Magic North tour.

3- Listen to a couple who wants to visit Scotland. Say which tour you think they will choose and why. (L'audio se trouve dans la continuité pédagogique)

GRAMMAR: WILL + BASE VERBALE

Observe ces phrases: a- We'll visit a lot of castles this summer b- The weather forecast says it won't rain tomorrow. c- Will you come with us?

- Pour exprimer un événement à venir, quelque chose que l'on a prévu de faire, on utilise WILL + BASE VERBALE ou sa forme contractée 'LL + BASE VERBALE. (phrase a) - Pour faire une prévision négative, on utilise WON'T qui est la forme contractée de WILL + NOT. (phrase b) -WILL est un auxiliaire. Comme tous les auxiliaires, WILL est invariable et il est toujours suivi d'une BASE VERBALE.

EXERCICE 1: Complète ces phrases pour parler de tes prochaines vacances d'été.
