Slide Transition

refers to the manner in which a slide enters or exits the screen

defines how objects on the slide will appear and exit the screen, will be emphasized, and will move across the screen.

What is Slide Transition?

It defines how slide will be displayed on the screen. It can be added to each slide by using one or more controls on the Transitions tab

contains the preview button, The Preview button is used to test the slide applied to the current slide

contains options for adding sounds, setting the duration and the method in which the next slide will apppear

APPLYING SLIDE TRANSITIONS

Applying Slide Transition

On the View tab, click on the Slide Sorter button.

Select a slide.

Go to the Transitions tab.

On the Transition to This Slide group, click on the down arrow of the Transition Scheme Gallery.

Select a transition from the gallery. A star will appear on the slide thumbnail to indicate the slide already has a transition.

Change the transition effect by doing the following actions.

On the Transition to this Slide group, click on the Effects Options button.

Select an option from the list.

To apply slide transition to all slides

Click Apply To All button.

MODIFYING SLIDE TRANSITIONS

Modifying Slide Transition

On the Slide Sorter view, select the slide.

Go to the Transitions tab.

On the Timing group, do any or all of the followng actions:

Set the transition speed by clicking on the Duration buttons or by typing the number of seconds on the Duration box.

On the Timing group, do any or all of the followng actions:

Add a transition sound by clicking on the down arrow of the Sound control and selecting an option from the list.

Specify how the next transition will appear on the On Mouse Click command or by specifying the number of seconds on the After command.

REMOVING SLIDE TRANSITIONS

Removing Slide Transition

To remove a transition from a slide or group of slides

On the View tab, click on the Slide Sorter button.

Select a slide.

Go to the Transitions tab.

On the Transition to This Slide group, click on the down arrow of the Transition Scheme Gallery.

Select None from the gallery

To remove the sound from a slide or group of slides

On the View tab, click on the Slide Sorter button.

Select a slide.

Go to the Transitions tab.

On the Timing group, click the Sounds control

Select None from the gallery.
