III Międzynarodowe Sympozjum Naukowe

Celem spotkania będzie międzynarodowy dyskurs nad istotą i znaczeniem tradycji w edukacji, nad związkami tradycyjnej kultury edukacyjnej ze współczesnymi tendencjami kształcenia, z uwzględnieniem kontekstu teoretycznego i praktycznego, a także próba znalezienia płaszczyzn negocjacji między tradycją a nowoczesnością, poszukiwanie ich rozwojowego współistnienia, a także argumentów dla ich uzasadnionej i korzystnej współobecności w pedagogice i systemach kształcenia.

The aim of the meeting is to develop an international discourse on the essence and significance of the relationship between traditional and contemporary educational trends, taking into account the theoretical and practical context, as well as an attempt to find negotiation platforms between tradition and modernity, looking for their developmental coexistence in pedagogy and education systems.

During the Symposium we will seek answers to the following questions: 1. What is the place of tradition in contemporary education systems? 2. Should we, as educators, prefer modernity in education over tradition? 3. How to avoid existential stagnation by focusing on sentimental memories rather than future possibilities? 4. Who or what will fill the emerging moral and existential identity void, which is the result of not belonging to permanent values, symbols and authorities in times of liquid postmodernity? 5. Is combining modernity with tradition a teacher's duty or choice? We propose to consider the following theses in the presentations: 1. Modernity and tradition - conflict or symbiosis? 2. The meaning and place of tradition in contemporary education systems. 3. Tradition in pedagogy - a stimulator or blockade of development? 4. The validity of traditional references in contemporary pedagogy. 5. Contemporary reinterpretations of traditional theses in pedagogy.
