José Protacio Rizal Mercado y Alonso Realonda

PEPE/JOSE

Born: June 19, 1861 in Calamba, Laguna, Philippines Died: December 30, 1896 in Bagumbayan [now Luneta], Manila, Philippines (execution by firing squad)

He is famous for :

Jose Rizal is famous because he is considered a hero of the Philippines. He wrote the Noli Me Tangere and El Filibusterismo to help the Filipinos awaken their mind. He made to realize to the citizen of the Philippines that they must not treat as what the Spaniards did. Jose Rizal used his knowledge to fight the rights of the Philippines among conqueror. Lastly, he gave his life to the Philippine when he died for the country. During his death, the cry of the Filipinos bridges to make actions for freedom.

The execution of Filipino patriot José Rizal on December 30, 1896 fanned the flames of the 1896 Philippine Revolution against the Kingdom of Spain. The park was officially named in his honor, and the monument enshrining his remains serves as the park's symbolic focal point.

Similarities with me:

“One only dies once, and if one does not die well, a good opportunity is lost and will not present itself again.” “I wish to show those who deny us Patriotism that we know how to die for our country and convictions.” “He who does not know how to look back at where he came from will never get to his destination.”

Like Dr. Jose Rizal. I cherish my beloved country, I also love to learn something new, and just like him I am not a physically blessed or strong child however, I have a strong will guided by my parents.

The youth is the hope of our future. He who does not know how to look back at where he came from will never get to his destination. He who does not love his own language is worse than an animal and smelly fish.
