Current

ELECTRIC

Review: Electricity is an energy. This energy can be used to power electrical items such as toasters, kettles, cookers, televisions and computer tablets. Electrical energy is caused by electrons (the particles in atoms) moving about to make a current.

Conductor is a material through which electricity flows easily.

Electric current is a flow of electricity through a conductor.

Electric Current

Resistor is an object that resist the flow of energy in an electrical circuit.

Circuit is a path through which electric current can flow.

Insulator is a material that slowsor stops the flow of energy, such as electricity.

Switch is a device that can open or close the path in a circuit.

Voltage sources are devices that are used to move electrically charged particles along.

When electric current flows through a resistor, some of the energy is transformed into a different type of energy, such as light , heat, sound, or motion.

What happens to energy in a resistor?
