Relationship Between Education and Success
Level of Education
It has been scientifically proven that your level of education directly relates to your economic success throughout your lifetime.
Fun Fact: Out of the 46.9% of people living below the poverty line, 35.2% have a high school diploma or dropped out of high school. The people who have a bachelor’s degree or higher only make up 3.9% of the people living under the poverty line
Relative Success
Mental Health
- A big factor in success within education and the workforce is your mental health.
- Mental health has a direct relationship with your efficiency in work and schooling.
- 1/3 of college students reported to have anxiety, depression, or high levels of stress that affect their schooling.
- 45% of people reported that mental health has affected them in school OR work resulting in a 20% decrease in production
- Those who have the money and privilege to continue their education in college sets them up perfectly for a job that pays well.
- Education level and lifetime economic success are easily shaped for some but seemingly impossible for others.
- The inequality of money predetermining your education should be the forefront of political conversations.
Summary
Through primary and secondary research, education level and economic success has been proven to be in direct relation to each other when certain factors are present. Those with higher education are far more likely to make more money than someone with a lower education. When factors such as education level, parents, and mental health are present, a positive position in each of those creates a undoubtedly direct correlation with how much money you will make in your life, also known as lifetime earnings.
So, how can you help?
This social issue in America is far from gone. There are still too many people within the government who are being paid large sums by these intitutions for the continuation of expensive education. We need to come together and vote for change so that every AMERICAN has the ability to continue their education and lead a successful career. Only then will we be able to lower the cost of education to an affordable price.
