Objective: To talk about future plans and intentions using present continuous and be going to.

Future

Present Continuous

* We use present continuous to talk about future plans or arrangements, especially when we say at what time or who with.

Be going to

* Future intentions

Present ContinuousStructure: S + Verb To Be + Verb(ing) + C

Examples1.- She is going to the beach with her family on weekend. 2.- I am visiting the doctor today at 7 o´clock. 3.- You are watching a film on Sunday.

Present Continuous for the future:

Often used with these words:-Later - tonight, tomorrow, this weekend - this/next: (week, month, year) - On (Monday/ Tuesday /etc.) - In (July / August / etc.)

Be going toStructure: S + Verb To Be + going to + Verb + C + T.E

Examples1.- She is going to travel to USA next year. 2.- I am going to do my homework next Saturday. 3.- You are going to buy a computer next year.

Time Expressions:

-This/ Next: (week, month, year) -This/ Next: (seasons) -This/ Next: (days of the week) - tonight, tomorrow, - On: (Monday/ Tuesday /etc.) - In (July / August / etc.)
