FORBIDDEN MEMORY- The documentary revolves around the collective memory of people on the September 1974 Malisbong Massacre which is part of the overall counter insurgency effort of Ferdinand Marcos during the Martial Law.
THEME:
Retelling of Memory. There is an anecdote by a middle-aged man recalling how they were thrown one-inch slices of coconuts — as chickens are fed grain — after days of starvation inside the mosque. He recalls able-bodied men being summoned outside to carry sacks of rice, then the sound of gunshots.
