Third Conditional
Anna Bąba
Use
We use the third conditional to talk about something in the past that did not happen. How is the third conditional different from the other conditionals?
Use
This is the way we imagine how things could have been different in the past. Notice that both the condition and the result are impossible now. e.g. If I’d known, I would have worn something nicer. In this case, I didn’t know about the party so I didn’t wear special clothes.
Third Conditional
If + Past Perfect , would have + Past Participle If you had listened to him , you'd have understood everything.(But you didn't do it)
