Ecuador differences after dollarization after 10 years and 20 years

Differences 10 years ago due to dollarization

1. It is true that dollarization could curb inflation, generate price stability and protect people's savings.
2. It also caused a distortion in internal price systems and destroyed local industry, preventing job creation and industrialization.
3. At the end of 10 years of dollarization, one of the measures with the greatest impact of the policy.
4. It meant the substitution of our national currency for the United States currency.
5. We had more important evolutions and transformations that the Ecuadorian economy has experienced.

Difference 20 years ago by the dolraizasion

1. Ecuador officially adopted the dollar as legal tender in 1999 after the country suffered a major economic and inflation crisis in the late 1990s.
2. The 1998-1999 economic crisis in Ecuador was an inflationary crisis along with a financial crisis.
3. A fiscal crisis and a sovereign debt crisis that started in 1998 and continued.
4. It got worse and led to an all bank panic in 1999 in Ecuador.
5. It was made legal and the sucre currency is totally abandoned, passing us to the dollar, definitely supporting us in the industrial economy.
