Sir Arthur Conan Doyle is a legendary Scottish writer died in July 7, 1930. He has created the famous fictional character "Sherlock Holmes". Sherlock Homes first appeared in Conan Doyle's A Study in Scarlet, published in Beaton's Christmas Annual of 1887.

LIfe After Holmes
After he released "Sherlock Holmes" the fictional character in 18, he wrote many other novels such as Professor Challenge, The Lost World, The White Company, and Middle Ages. Surprisingly, he also had a career as a soccer player. He played as a goalkeeper for Portsmouth Association Football Club. He died of a heart attack at the age of 71 on 7 July 1930. His last words were directed toward his wife: "You are wonderful."
