Khalil Gets Shot

At the spring party, Starr's best friend Khalil gets shot by a white police officer

Starr Gets Interviwed by cops

As Starr was the only one there during the scene, she has to be interviewed by the cops to see if the police is accused ot not.

Starr moves out of Garden Heights

As Starr has victims after her, and there are many bad scens going on in her black neighborhood, she moves out into a new white neighborhood.

Starr has an interview by the state

Starr's interviews eventually lead up to this big interview for the state where she has to talk about everything at one time. She loses her confidence and has to step down.

Starr finds her voice

When a huge riot breaks out in her old neighborhood, she protests and speaks up in front of the whole neighborhood
