Who is eligible to apply ?

For City-to- City Cooperation: Cities, Metropolitan Areas or Functional Areas in EU member states with more than 100.000 inhabitants.

For Region-to- Region Cooperation: regional governments or authorities from EU member states can apply

I am a former IUC participant, can I apply?

Yes! if selected, you may follow cooperation with your initial pair under thematic networks or in exceptional cases paired to finish starting actions. But you have the possibility to extend cooperation to new Geographical Areas, *exception if affected by Covid restrictions during IUC

Applying or not, selected or not, you are already a member of the IURC Global Network

What happens if I am selected?

Start up Virtual meeting with counterpart/s to meet each other, define topics of cooperation, stakeholders, & sign a protocol or letter of intent

In person Study visit to non EU city/region – Study visit to EU city/region – (expected 2022 depending on pandemic-related travel restrictions)- definition of date for vitit to EU

Elaboration of a Urban or Regional Cooperation Action Plan (UCAP-RCAP) as a roadmap of cooperation including concrete actions/pilots. Supported by virtual exchanges

Participation to the IURC Annual Meeting in Brussels, training, thematic and networking events

Spaces to showcase your experiences under a Global Networking approach
