Affirmative form

In affirmative sentences, there are two main characteristics: 1. It uses the base form of the verb (except for the verb to be) 2. The addition of "s" for third person singular (he, she and it)

Let's make a review

Present simple is the most basic tense in English.

Negative form

In negative sentences, 1. We use one auxiliary, either "do" or"does" 2. We need to add the word "not" 3. Verbs do not change.

Yes / No questions are also called closed questions because there are only two possible responses: Yes or No.
