Her activity inspired John Dunant to start the Red Cross, 12th May - International Nursery Day, The Red Cross established Florence Nightingale Award for best nursers, Was honoured with a brooch set with diamonds by Queen Victoria, She helped Poland by dotaning some money during January Revolution.
NOTE - FLORENCE NIGHTINGALE
- Florence Nightingale (1820-1910) was known as “The Lady With the Lamp,”
- She was a British nurse, social reformer,
- Her experiences as a nurse during the Crimean War helped to perform better nursery help in the future,
- She established the Nightingale Training School for Nurses in 1860,
- Her efforts to reform healthcare highly improved the conditions in hospitals in 19th and 20th centuries.
