She was born in Mingora, Pakistan on July 12, 1997.
Her father was a teacher and ran a girls’ school in our village.
She spoke out publicly on behalf of girls and our right to learn. And this made her a target.
In October 2012, on her way home from school, a masked gunman shot her from the left side of her head.
She moved to U.K. months later and had to make a choice. A quiet life or a life that girls will fight for to read.
She chose to fight and founded the Malala Fund.
In recognition of their work. She received the Nobel Peace Prize in December 2014 and became the youngest Nobel prize winner ever.
She began studying Philosophy, Politics and Economics at the University of Oxford.
She graduated from Oxford University in 2020.
