- She was born in Mingora, Pakistan on July 12, 1997.
- Her father was a teacher and ran a girls’ school in our village.
- She spoke out publicly on behalf of girls and our right to learn. And this made her a target.
- In October 2012, on her way home from school, a masked gunman shot her from the left side of her head.
- She moved to U.K. months later and had to make a choice. A quiet life or a life that girls will fight for to read.
- She chose to fight and founded the Malala Fund.
- In recognition of their work. She received the Nobel Peace Prize in December 2014 and became the youngest Nobel prize winner ever.
- She began studying Philosophy, Politics and Economics at the University of Oxford.
- She graduated from Oxford University in 2020.
