The flag of the United Kingdom is called the Union Jack.
The national flag of the United Kingdom is the Union Jack. It consists of the English, the Scottish and the Irish flags. The flag of Wales is not in the Union Jack. They have their own flag and it is called "The Red Dragon".
The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the U.K., is the political name of the country which is made up of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Three of these countries form Great Britain: England, Scotland and Wales.

The current Prime Minister is Keir Starmer, leader of the Labour Party. He lives and works at 10 Downing Street in London, near The Houses of Parliament. He is appointed by the Monarch and selects all the other Ministers.

Queen Elisabeth II has ruled the UK since 1952. The Windsor family has ruled the country since 1901. The Royal Family has an official home: Buckingham Palace in London. Windsor Castle is also a very well known castle in England belonging to the Royal Family.
