el (WH) i els (COMPs) van entre parèntesis perquè no són obligatoris. Quan no n’hi ha, la frase segueix l’ordre sense aquests elements. Es a dir, la frase interrogativa mínima, en anglès, ha de tenir 3 elements com a mínim i en aquest ordre: AUX / SUBJ / VB. Per exemple: “Are you coming?”
