London London is the capital of the UK(England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales). In there are a lot of importants monuments: the Tower of London, located in the central of London, on the north bank of the river Thames and Tower Bridge, a mobile bridge that connects Southwark and Tower Hamlets. Trafalgar Square is a square in London dadicated to the memory of the battle of Trafalgar, during the Napoleonic wars. The most important neightborhood in London is Greenwich. The Harry Potter's station is the King's Cross station, in Camden. Here the students take the Hogwarts express train on the platform 9 ¾. The official residence of Queen Elizabeth II is Buckingam Palace, in the city of Westminster in London. This palace was built from 1703 to 1825.

ENGLAND England, the birthplace of Shakespear and Beatles, is a country in the British Isles bordering with Scotland and Wales.

SCOTLAND Scoltland is the northernmost country of the UK and is a territory of savages mountains. The most importants cities are: Edinburgh e Glasgow.

WALES Wales is a country in a South-West of the UK known for its rugged coastline and hight-lying national parks.

NORTHERN IRELAND This nation is famous for its Norman castles, glacial valleys and mountains, Celtic and Christian monuments, and coastal golf courses.

CARDIFF Cardiff is the capital of Wales and it is located on the Bristol Channel. It's the biggest city of the country.

OXFORD Oxford is a city in the south-central England and it revolves around its prestigious universities, founded in the 12th century. A famous university is Oxford University Press.

CAMBRIDGE Cambridge is a city in England located on the river Cam, in the east. There are a lot of importants universities, like the King's College.

BELFAST Belfast is the capital of Northern Ireland. Here was built the RMS Titanic ocean liner, famous for being sunk in 1912 following the collision with an iceberg.

EDINBURGH Edinburgh is the capital of Scotland and it's a really old and insteresting old town. It is full of big parks and castles.

THE NORTH SEA The North Sea is a sea in the northwestern Europe that comunicates with the Atlantic Ocean, with the Norwegian Sea and with the English Channel.

ATLANTIC OCEAN The Atlantic Ocean, or just Atlantic, is the second ocean on Earth. Its name derived from Greek mythology, means "sea of Atlas".

CELTIC SEA Celtic Sea is the "arm" of the Atlantic Ocean. It's located between southern Ireland and southwestern England.

SEA OF NORWAY The Norwegian sea is part of the north Atlantic Ocean and lies between the North Sea and the Greenland Sea.

PLYMOUTH Plymouth is a city in England. Here were a group of Puritans who escape, with a ship called Mayflower, in America for live in peace, free from persecution.

CONRWALL The peninsula of CornWall is situated in the southwestern England, where it borders with the Celtic Sea, with The Sleeve, with the Bristol Channel and with the Lyme Bay.

LYME BAY Lyme Bay is an area of the channel of The Sleeve and is a jurassic coast on the south of England.

STRAIT OF DOVER The Dover Strait, or Calais Pass, is the point of the English Channel which is the shortest distance between continental Europe and Great Britain and, administratively, between France and the United Kingdom.

NORTH CHANNEL The North Channel is a "arm" of the Atlantic Ocean, which separates the irish coast from the scotland coast.

ST. GEORGE CHANNEL The St. Georga Channel is a piece of sea which separates Ireland and Great Britain.

LIVERPOOL FOOTBALL CLUB The Liverpool Football Club, or just Liverpool, is a football club which is based in Liverpool. It won eight English League Cups.

HADRIAN'S WALL Hadrian's Wall was an imposing stone fortification, built by the roman emperor Hadrian in the first half of the 2nd century as a border with the Pictish tribes , which marked the border between the occupied Roman province of Britain and Caledonia. This fortification divided the island into two parts.

THAMES The Thames is a river in southern England that flows through London, and it's also the second longest river in the UK.

PENNINES The Pennines are an English mountain range or hill , extending from the Peak District in the Midlands to the Cheviot Hills on the Scottish border.

CAMBRIAN MOUNTAINS The Cambrian Mountains are a mountain range that runs through mid Wales.

LOCH NESS Loch Ness or Lake Ness is a freshwater lake in the Scottish Highlands, located southwest of Inverness. This lake is known for alleged sightings of the mythical Nessie, the monster of Loch Ness.

GRAMPIAN MOUNTAINS Grampian Mountais are a one of the three largest mountain rages in Scotland, occupying much of the Hightlands in the northeast of the region.

SEVERN The Severn is the longest river in the United Kingdom. His mouth is in an estuary and it also has tributaries.

NATIONAL RUGBY TEAM The England national rugby union team is the men’s national rugby union team representing England in the international arena; it operates under the jurisdiction of the Rugby Football Union. Coach is Eddie Jones and leader is Owen Farrel.

HEBRIDES The Hebrides are an extensive group of islands located off the west coast of Scotland. Inhabited since the Mesolithic, they have had both Celtic and Norse cultural influences. Geologically, they are the oldest rocks in the British Isles.

ORKNEY ISLANDS The Orkney Islands are an archipelago of Scotland in the United Kingdom. Located off the northern coast of Great Britain, Orkney is 16 km north of the northern coast of Caithness and includes about 70 islands, 20 of which are inhabited.

SHETLAND ISLANDS The Shetland Islands are a sub-Arctic archipelago of Scotland that lies to the north-east of the island of Great Britain and forms part of the United Kingdom.

STONEHENGE It's a Neolithic site located near Amesbury in Wiltshire, England, about 13 kilometers northwest of Salisbury. It is the most famous and imposing cromlech.

IRELAND The Republic of Ireland occupies most of the island of Ireland off the coast of Wales and England. Its capital, Dublin, is the birthplace of writers such as Oscar Wilde and Guinness beer.

DUBLIN Dublin, the capital of the Republic of Ireland, is located on the east coast of Ireland, at the mouth of the River Liffey. There are many historic and important buildings there. ST. PATRICK'S DAY The Feast of St Patrick is a Christian feast celebrated on 17 March each year in honour of St Patrick, patron saint of Ireland. Legend has it that Patrick took all the snakes of Ireland and threw them overboard, which is why there are no snakes in Ireland. CELTS The Celts were fierce and daring warrior tribes of the Iron Age, coming from Eastern Europe that between 800 and 300 B.C. conquered vast portions of Europe. Celtic warriors and adventurers probably reached Ireland around 300 B.C., and certainly by 100 B.C. had already settled there. IRISH GAELIC Irish Gaelic, commonly called Irish, is a Goidelica language spoken on the island of Ireland. It is one of the three Gaelic languages: in addition to Irish Gaelic there are also Scottish Gaelic and Manx, the language of the Isle of Man.

CLIFFS OF MOHER The Cliffs of Moher are impressive and striking cliffs overlooking the sea located near the village of Doolin on the west coast of Clare, County of the Republic of Ireland.

GALWAY Galway, a port city on the west coast of Ireland, is located at the point where the Corrib River flows into the Atlantic Ocean. The beating heart of the city is Eyre Square, an 18th-century square surrounded by traditional shops and pubs.

CORK Cork, in the south-west of Ireland, is a university town whose center lies on an island of the River Lee, which joins the sea passing through the city’s harbor. There is the Cork City Gaol that in 1824 housed the prisoners. In the Cork City Gaol there is an important museum too.

SHANNON The Shannon is the longest river on the island of Ireland. It flows in the western part of the Irish territory and divides the west of Ireland from the east and south. Its mouth is located in the Atlantic Ocean.
