VERSUS
Present Perfect
Past Simple
To ask and talk about finished actions in the past when the time is mentioned or it is understood We often use a past time expression: yesterday, last week, etc. I've bought a new computer. (=the date or time is not mentioned) I bought a computer last Friday (= I say when)
When we talk about a past experience or recent past actions and when we don't specify WHEN EXACTLY this happened. I've been to Madrid twice. (=in my life until now) I went to Madrid in 2009 and 2015 (= on two specific occassions)
thanks
