- To talk about the future, we often use the FIRST CONDITIONAL to discuss possible future events that depend on specific situations or conditions.
- If/Unless + present simple, + will/ won't + infinitive (without to)
- If it rains, I will stay at home.
- I will pass the exam if I study hard.
- Unless you wear a mask, you won't go out.
SECOND CONDITIONAL
- We use the SECOND CONDITIONAL to talk about hypothetical situations or to give advice.
- If + past simple + would/wouldn't + infinitive (without to)
- If I were you, I would go to the doctor.
- If I won the lottery, I wouldn't buy a mansion.
