When we want to make a prediction, we use the Future Simple.
- Subject + will /won't+ infinitive + extra information
- Boats will be electric.
- Houses will be eco-friendly.

Predictions
When we want to make a prediction based on evidence we use the structure be going to.
- Subject + be going to+ infinitive + extra information
- The sky is cloudy. It is going to rain.
- Tom is riding too fast. He is going to fall.
Plans
When we want to discuss a plan, we use the structure be going to to talk about fixed/definite plans.
- Subject + be going to+ infinitive + extra information
- Sarah is going to go to the party this Friday.
- My sister is not going to celebrate her birthday this year.
- When/what/why+ be+ subject + going to + infinitive + extra information?
- When is Sussan going to meet George?
Arrangements
We can also use the Present Continuous with future value to talk about arrengements.
- Subject + verb to be+ -ing+ extra information
- Sarah is meeting Julia at the airport.
- He's leaving tomorrow.
- Verb to be + subject + -ing + extra information?
- Is Linda playing tennis tomorrow?
Time-tabled events
We can use the Present Simple with future value to talk about time-tabled events.
- The train leaves at 11.00 p.m.
